1.Project management of R&D drug development projects, working with cross-functional global matrix teams accountable to the company
2.Management, and alignment of project plans with project team strategy 3.Leading overall operational execution of project according to agreed plan, i.e., tracking and management of project progress, integration of line activities, and identification and focus on critical path activities 4.Tracking of the project budget and development of options and scenarios related to budget constraints through close collaboration with functional lines and Finance
5.Development of optimized project schedules, risk management plans, and project budgets for approval
6. Accurately defining and defending to senior management the operational trade-offs between risk, schedule, budget, and probability of success 7.Coordinating project status and issues to allow timely and informed decision making at the portfolio level 8.Project Team secretariat, responsible for agendas, meeting minutes, decision logs, archiving project governance documentation, and ensuring all relevant PT information is accessible in global GSK databases
9. Contribute to design, development, improvement or redesign of R&D processes.
Qualifications in the P&PM group usually include two or more of the following qualifications:
1.BS/BA in a relevant science
2.Post-graduate degree (MSc, MBA, PhD).
3.Drug development experience and/or >3 years experience in Project Management for drug development.
4.PMP certification or equivalent.
